Our "homebase" is Camp Singing Wind, 184 acres of forest and meadow, midway between Seattle and Portland. This rustic vintage camp offers a wonderful variety of gathering options for the NW nature lover.
The main lodge is perfect for large groups, with a large event hall and commercial sized kitchen, a full library and lounge for more cozy experiences, and two handicap accessible bedrooms. A-Frame cabins are also available for smaller groups or overnight accommodations. There are trails in the woods, a small summer beach by the meandering Salmon Creek, meadows, old growth, and camping in abundance. The immense beauty of camp can transform even the most mundane gathering into a magical retreat in nature.
Camp Singing Wind is located on aboriginal Cowlitz Tribal territory, and we honor this history and the present by working with the Cowlitz tribe to prioritize space for indigenous learning and healing as well as create respectful and positive stewardship of this land. Camp was also once a Campfire Girls camp (and many of it's structures retain the nostalgic charm of an idyllic summer camp, complete with original memorabilia and architecture that dates back nearly 100 years, for an authentic retro "20th century" vibe!) It is now re purposed into a forest farm, community center, and Hipcamp.
While basking in this dreamy setting, you can still be in touch with home or work through free wi-fi at the lodge, if needed (you just may not want to!). Restroom facilities with showers and potable water are available, but this is a camp facility in the middle of nature, so bring all your camping gear needs!
